COVID-19: Yesterday and Today

COVID-19 is a novel virus that has apparently crossed species to become the cause of an international pandemic resulting in a death rate that has far surpassed the deaths resulting from several of our wars. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been and continues to be a challenge to individuals, families, businesses, healthcare, and the country. It has challenged our preparation and our ability to respond to such an event. I will present issues from an infection prevention perspective both initially and to the date of this presentation.
